We have been quite the engineers this year! You name it, they’ve created it! They build everything from towers, houses, castles, construction vehicles, roller coasters, and more! Salina School received the FIRST LEGO League Discover Grant this year. It has been a great success in advancing the students’ STEAM skills.
The students have been focusing on the theme of transportation. We have been learning about how mail and packages are transported. We started our exploration of transportation by taking a field trip to the local mailbox. The students sent letters home to their families.
After our field trip, we learned how packages are transported by land, water, and air, as well as the different types of transportation vehicles are needed to do the job. We also learned how mail is sorted at the sorting station so that the employees know where the packages need to go. I am so excited to see what else are going to learn and create!
