This week our class traveled to the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center in Downtown Detroit to explore the wildlife and outdoor activities that can be found in our great state of Michigan. The children learned about many types of animals that live in our state and were able to touch various fur samples. They practiced fishing and kayaking, as well as drove a simulated snowmobile! It was wonderful to see the children engaged with so many science concepts at once!
